In keeping with the spirit of social responsibility, the Group of 70 embarked upon yet another project to fulfill a basic necessity of a war hero. The committee unanimously agreed to undertake the construction of a tailor made toilet for Chief Petty Officer P.W.S. Attanayake –of the Sri Lanka Navy. He was rendered disabled by an unfortunate accident and was finding it extremely difficult to move and use the available wash room facilities at his residence in Kalettewa in the Anuradhapura District.
