Providing a meal to the students of Ratmalana School for the Blind, is an annual event conducted by the ‘Royal College Group of 70’ (RC70) with the generous contributions received from the RC70 membership and well-wishers. As per in the past occasions the students display their talents in musical and dancing skills ably supported by a live one-man band provided by the RC70. The students and RC70 members and their families socialise with the children in numerous ways during the event which encourages the students in many ways.
The blind school student population is 136 and the dinner is provided based on their choice for the students and the staff. On this occasion they opted for hoppers for dinner and egg hoppers and hoppers were provided with accompanying dishes such as chicken followed by a Dessert.
The following items were donated by RC70 to the blind school to carry out the essential services provided to students uninterruptedly.
